Training and Apprenticeship: The work season will be starting up soon so now is the time to take advantage of training classes offered to our members. This is a great way to make yourself and our union more marketable. The more you know, the better your chances of continued work are. A complete list of available classes is listed below. April 15-19, 2013 Basic Line and Grade April 22-26, 2013 Laser level Technology April 29, 2013 Asbestos handler Refresher April 30, 2013 Hazardous Waste Refresher All Classes will begin at 8 am at the Training Center in Oswego, NY, unless otherwise noted. For a complete list of courses offered on training and apprentice related classes or if you have questions, please call the training office at (585) 546-8460.
Reminders: Certificates: Please register all your certificates with the Training Department. 585-546-8460. The work season is quickly approaching and if we do not have your certificates on file we cannot fill requirements on certain job requests. Examples: Asbestos, Boom Lifters, Hazardous Waste, Line & Grade, etc. Out-Of-Work: To keep your name on the out-of-work list it must be updated every 14 days otherwise the computer will kick it off at the end of the 14th day. Pictures: Please send us any pictures of projects you are working on. We would like to post them to our website or on our Facebook page. You can visit us on Facebook at Laborers Local 435. Contact Info: Be sure that we have your current address and phone number. This will save a lot of time, and makes it easier to find you when you get the call to go to work. Union Meeting: Our next union meeting is Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 8 pm in the large meeting hall. We will have pizza and wings at this meeting.
