APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Laborers’ Local 435 Construction Craft Laborer Apprenticeship Program is a 24-month, NYSDOL-accredited program, for those with little or no experience in the construction trades who want to begin a career as a Skilled Construction Craft Laborer. Apprenticeship is the process of learning a skilled trade through on-the-job training (hands-on experience under the close supervision of a skilled laborer) plus related classroom instruction.
The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for the Rochester Laborers' Local 435 Training and Apprenticeship is accepting applications Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The following entrance requirements are set forth to comply with New York State employment requirements, insurance regulations, and to ensure the safety & well-being of the Apprentice:
Minimum of 18 years of age
Be in good health
High school diploma or a GED
Reliable transportation throughout Local 435's jurisdiction
Valid driver's license
Must be able to pass a non-DOT drug screening
Must be legally able to work in the United States
Must attest they are physically able to do the work of a CCL, which may include:
Consistently lifting, up to 50 lbs.
Working outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.
Working in an environment with strong odors and loud noises.
Apprentices become journeymen once they have completed 300 classroom hours and 4000 work hours.
